Canadiens' Galchenyuk leaves game with injury
Montreal Canadiens left wing Alex Galchenyuk sustained a lower-body injury in the first period against the Chicago Blackhawks on Wednesday night and will not return.

CHICAGO -- Montreal Canadiens left wing Alex Galchenyuk sustained a lower-body injury in the first period against the Chicago Blackhawks on Wednesday night and did not return.

Galchenyuk took a hit into the boards near the Montreal bench from Blackhawks forward Andrew Shaw less than 30 seconds into the game and finished his shift. He took one more shift and left the bench.

Chicago won 3-2 in overtime.

Galchenyuk has 13 goals and 18 assists in 64 games with a minus-12 rating.
