Penguins' Maatta sidelined by upper-body injury
Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Olli Maatta was a late scratch Saturday against the Minnesota Wild due to an upper-body injury.

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Olli Maatta is day-to-day with an upper-body injury, according to Penguins coach Dan Bylsma.

He was a late scratch for the Penguins' 4-0 loss to the Minnesota Wild on Saturday night.

Maatta is second among Penguins defensemen in goals (nine) and points (29). He is plus-9 in 75 games.

The rookie defenseman was a healthy scratch March 28 against the Chicago Blackhawks.

The Penguins are already without top defenseman Kris Letang, who has not played since Jan. 27 due to a stroke.
