Tokarski stops 27 shots, Blunden scores winner as Bulldogs topple Griffins 4-1

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Dustin Tokarski stopped 27 shots as the Hamilton Bulldogs downed the host Grand Rapids Griffins 4-1 on Friday in American Hockey League play.

Mike Blunden, Sven Andrighetto and Gabriel Dumont had a goal and an assist each for the Bulldogs (31-33-6), while Greg Pateryn added a single goal.

David McIntyre scored for the Griffins (44-21-6) and Petr Mrazek turned away 23-of-26 shots in a losing cause.

McIntyre opened the scoring at 14:08 of the first period for Grand Rapids.

Dumont responded, however, for Hamilton 55 seconds into the second period and Blunden made it 2-1 Bulldogs at 4:36.

Andrighetto increased Hamilton's lead to two goals before the second was through and Pateryn added an empty-net goal at 16:47 of the third period.

The Bulldogs went 0 for 3 on the power play while the Griffins failed to score on their only chance with the man advantage.
