Oilers sign Oesterle to two-year contract
The Edmonton Oilers on Monday signed Western Michigan University defenseman Jordan Oesterle to a two-year, entry-level contract. Financial terms were not released.

The Edmonton Oilers on Monday signed Western Michigan University defenseman Jordan Oesterle to a two-year, entry-level contract. Financial terms were not released.

Oesterle, 21, has two goals and 15 assists in 34 games this season, and led all WMU defensemen with 70 blocked shots. In three collegiate seasons the 6-foot, 185-pounder had seven goals and 27 assists in 113 games.

Oesterle will spend the remainder of the season with the Oilers' American Hockey League team, the Oklahoma City Barons.
