Adam Lowry scores winner in shootout as IceCaps beat Sound Tigers 2-1

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. - Adam Lowry scored the winner in a shootout as the St. John's IceCaps edged the Bridgeport Sound Tigers 2-1 in American Hockey League play Saturday.

Carl Klingberg also scored in the shootout for the IceCaps (40-20-4), while Jason Jaffray had the team's only goal in regulation.

Adam Brace scored in the second period for Bridgeport (27-30-7) with John Persson finding the net in the shootout.

Tyler Beskorowany kept St. John's in the game with 36 saves. At the other end of the ice, Kevin Poulin stopped 20 shots.
