Canadiens' Prust ruled out for rest of regular season
Montreal Canadiens forward Brandon Prust will miss the remainder of the regular season with an upper-body injury

Montreal Canadiens forward Brandon Prust will miss the remainder of the regular season with an upper-body injury, the team announced Friday.

The Canadiens did not specify if the injury was related to Prust's shoulder, which has caused him trouble throughout the season. Prust missed a month earlier in the season and more time once the NHL reconvened following the 2014 Sochi Olympics.

Prust returned to the lineup March 12 and played four games before sitting out the Canadiens' 3-2 home loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets on Thursday.

A Grade 1 shoulder separation caused Prust to miss eight games late last season.

In 52 games with the Canadiens this season, Prust has six goals, 13 points and a team-high 121 penalty minutes.
