OHL Roundup: Kea scores winner as Spirit edge Greyhounds 4-3 in OT

SAGINAW, Mich. - Justin Kea scored 3:36 into overtime as the Saginaw Spirit edged the visiting Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds 4-3 on Monday in the Ontario Hockey League's final game of the regular season.

Eric Locke had a pair of goals for the Spirit (33-30-5), who jumped over the Owen Sound Attack for the sixth seed in the Western Conference, while Cody Payne scored the other.

Patrick Watling scored twice for the Greyhounds (44-17-7) and Jorgen Karterud added a single goal.

Saginaw's Jake Paterson made 31 saves for the win as Sault Ste. Marie's Brandon Halverson kicked out 48-of-52 shots in a losing cause.

The Greyhounds, who own the second seed in the Western Conference, will face the seventh-seeded Owen Sound Attack in Round 1 of the OHL playoffs. The Spirit will play the third-seeded Erie Otters. Both series start on Mar. 21.
