SAGINAW, Mich. - Justin Kea scored 3:36 into overtime as the Saginaw Spirit edged the visiting Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds 4-3 on Monday in the Ontario Hockey League's final game of the regular season.

Patrick Watling scored twice for the Greyhounds (44-17-7) and Jorgen Karterud added a single goal.

Saginaw's Jake Paterson made 31 saves for the win as Sault Ste. Marie's Brandon Halverson kicked out 48-of-52 shots in a losing cause.

The Greyhounds, who own the second seed in the Western Conference, will face the seventh-seeded Owen Sound Attack in Round 1 of the OHL playoffs. The Spirit will play the third-seeded Erie Otters. Both series start on Mar. 21.

Quote of the Day

That group is not satisfied until we win a Stanley Cup. When we do win that Stanley Cup, I don't think we'll be satisfied then either. We're going to want another one. We have the group to do it. We have all the pieces. We just need to put them together.
