Detroit Red Wings recall Jordin Tootoo from AHL

DETROIT - The Detroit Red Wings have recalled right wing Jordin Tootoo from the Grand Rapids Griffins of the AHL.

The team announced the move Saturday.

Tootoo has played 10 games with Detroit this season. He's played 38 with the Griffins, scoring four goals with 10 assists for the AHL team.

Detroit plays at Chicago on Sunday in a rematch against the team that eliminated the Red Wings from last year's playoffs.

Quote of the Day

I was going nuts and I saw [Subban], he was going crazy, and the ref had no idea where to go. [Subban] was skating to me, and I was skating to him and the ref was right in between us and I don't know, I kind of hit him pretty hard, I thought, but those were some emotions and I'm pretty sure he understands that.
