Islanders recall Sundstrom from Bridgeport
Forward Johan Sundstrom was recalled by the New York Islanders from the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League.

The New York Islanders recalled center Johan Sundstrom on an emergency basis from the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League on Thursday.

Selected in the second round (No. 50) of the 2011 NHL Draft, Sundstrom, 21, has 17 points (seven goals, 10 assists) in 38 games this season with the Sound Tigers. The Gothenburg, Sweden native had 32 points (11 goals, 21 assists) in 59 games for Bridgeport last year, his first season in North America.

Prior to joining the Sound Tigers, Sundstrom played two seasons with Frolunda of the Swedish Hockey League.
