OHL Roundup: Eric Cornel scores two as Peterborough downs IceDogs 6-3

PETERBOROUGH, Ont. - Eric Cornel scored twice and Andrew D'Agostini stopped 37 shots as the Peterborough Petes doubled up the Niagara IceDogs 6-3 in Ontario Hockey League action on Tuesday.

Nick Ritchie had a goal and an assist, and Clark Seymour, Greg Botzold and Hunter Garlent also scored for the Petes (32-28-5).

Anthony DiFruscia scored one and assisted on another, and Jordan Maletta and Brendan Perlini rounded out the Niagara (22-35-8) offence.

IceDogs goalie Brent Moran picked up the loss after stopping 36 shots.

FRONTENACS 4 67's 2

OTTAWA — Henri Ikonen scored his 23rd and 24th goals of the season as the Frontenacs topped the 67's.

Ryan Kujawinski and Samuel Schutt also scored for Kingston (37-22-6), which outshot Ottawa 35-28. Mikko Vainonen had two assists.

Travis Konecny and Brendan Bell replied for the 67's (23-37-5).

Kingston's Matt Mahalak stopped 26 shots for the victory, while Ottawa's Philippe Trudeau made 31 saves.
