Teams, players send Peverley well-wishes
Players, coaches and teams took to social media to offer their support to Dallas Stars center Rich Peverley, who collapsed on the bench during a game Monday.

As news spread regarding the condition of Dallas Stars forward Rich Peverley after he collapsed on the team's bench in the first period of a game against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Monday night, players, coaches and teams took to social media to offer their support.

The game was halted 6:23 in after Peverley was quickly carried from the bench. It was later announced that Peverley was conscious and taken to a hospital.

Quote of the Day

The groove of being behind a bench is going to be interesting at first, but thank God we have a few exhibition games to get rid of those cobwebs. Overall the excitement of it all and the freshness and coming back refreshed, all those things are going to be assets. If [the players] come ready to give their best effort in practice and games, good things are going to happen. I'm always looking for results. It's not always on the scoreboard. It's winning and building something.
