SEATTLE - Shea Theodore and Roberts Lipsbergs scored in a shootout to lift the Seattle Thunderbirds over the Vancouver Giants 4-3 in Western Hockey League action on Sunday.
Theodore had a goal and an assist in regulation, and Jerrett Smith and Alexander Delnov also scored for Seattle (40-22-6).
Cain Franson had a goal and an assist, and Arvin Atwal and Mason Geertsen scored power-play goals for Vancouver (31-27-11), who tied the game after being down 3-1 despite being outshot 47-35.
Thunderbirds goalie Danny Mumaugh made 32 saves through overtime and four more in the shootout. Payton Lee made 46 total saves for the Giants.
