Blackhawks agree to 3-year extension with F Bollig

CHICAGO - The Chicago Blackhawks and forward Brandon Bollig have agreed to a three-year contract extension through the 2016-17 season.

The 27-year-old Bollig has a career-high 12 points (six goals, six assists) in 62 games. He leads the team with 138 hits and 69 penalty minutes.

Bollig signed with the Blackhawks as a free agent in April 2010. The deal was announced on Monday.

Quote of the Day

He's, believe it or not, actually one of my favorite guys, and I've ended up trading him twice. I appreciate what he's done. He was one year away from being an unrestricted free agent, and I felt with this opportunity, that it was a chance that we were able to get somebody for him in Nick Bonino and Adam Clendening.
