Martin St. Louis scores 2 goals and Lightning upend Stars 4-2

DALLAS - Martin St. Louis scored two goals for the second consecutive game, leading the Tampa Bay Lightning to a 4-2 victory over the Dallas Stars on Saturday afternoon.

The Lightning had lost five of their previous seven games.

Goalie Ben Bishop cooled off Dallas by making 39 saves for his 29th win.

Nate Thompson and Sami Salo also scored for Tampa Bay. Victor Hedman and Ondrej Palat each had two assists.

The four goals allowed by Stars goalie Kari Lehtonen were his most in 12 games, since a 4-3 loss to Colorado Jan. 27.

Antoine Roussel and Vernon Fiddler each had a goal and an assist for Dallas.

The Stars, who had been 7-1-2 in their previous 10 games, remained eighth in the Western Conference.

Quote of the Day

I don't think it's really truly going to sink in until we drop the puck, to be honest. I know there's going to be a lot of smoke and mirrors with the media attention and all that. We came [Monday] and it was sort of a light day to get things organized. We just want to focus in on the business aspect, the game itself. That's what we're preparing to do. Get these next couple of days out of the way and it's game on.
