BUFFALO, N.Y. - Sabres general manager Tim Murray says he is talking to coach Ted Nolan about lifting his interim tag and working out an extension.
Murray also says the team is shopping goalie Ryan Miller, with the intention of dealing him before the NHL's trade deadline on March 5. Murray says he's received interest from more than two teams but less than 10 regarding Miller, but added it's too early to determine whether a deal can be made for the 11-year veteran.
Murray spoke Tuesday night, minutes before the start of Buffalo's home game against the Carolina Hurricanes.
As for Nolan, Murray would only say the two sides have "discussed the possibility of moving forward."
Nolan was hired on an interim basis in November after Ron Rolston was fired.
