Roy makes 34 saves, Reinhart scores winner, as heat double up Admirals 4-2

MILWAUKEE - Olivier Roy made 34 saves as the Abbotsford Heat doubled up the host Milwaukee Admirals 4-2 on Friday in American Hockey League action.

Max Reinhart broke a 2-2 tie at 12:03 of the third period for the Heat (33-15-5) while Ben Street, Sven Baertschi and Brett Olsen had the others.

Taylor Beck and Vinny Saponari supplied the scoring for the Admirals (27-16-8) and Scott Darling turned away 26-of-29 shots in a losing cause.

Baertschi opened the scoring for Abbotsford exactly one minute into the first period, but Saponari responded at the 3:40 mark for Milwaukee.

Beck gave the Admirals their only lead of the game early in the second period before Street followed with a power-play goal for the Heat at 12:00.

After Reinhart scored to put Abbotsford ahead, Olson added insurance into an empty net at 19:59 of the third.

The Heat went 1 for 4 on the power play. The Admirals went 0 for 5.

Quote of the Day

What we expected is what we got. Very mature young individual that's focused. He is on the right track. He's not only a great hockey individual, but he's a good person off the ice. He seemed to take a leadership role with this group right off the hop and ran away with it, and was vocal, was respectful, was everything it takes to be a Panther. His future looks bright.
