QMJHL Roundup: Shawinigan snaps four game skid with 3-1 win at Saint John

SAINT JOHN, N.B. - The Shawinigan Cataractes snapped a four-game losing streak with a 3-1 victory over the Saint John Sea Dogs in a matchup of Quebec Major Junior Hockey League division cellar dwellers on Thursday.

Oliver Cooper ruined Cupper's shutout bid with his goal for the Sea Dogs (17-37-4) at 14:19 of the third period. Sebastien Auger made 35 saves for Saint John.

Shawinigan was 0 for 3 on the power play, and the Sea Dogs were 0 for 6.

Quote of the Day

You don't see many. The [Drew] Doughtys, the [P.K.] Subbans, those are guys that create offense from the back and then on top of that ability, the size that he has. In the West you play against some pretty big players, and being able to clear the crease and contain the [Ryan] Getzlafs and the [Corey] Perrys and [Anze] Kopitars and players like that, we're excited about him going back there.
