Coyotes recall defenseman Gormley
The Phoenix Coyotes have recalled defenseman Brandon Gormley from the Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League.

The Phoenix Coyotes on Wednesday recalled defenseman Brandon Gormley from the team's American Hockey League affiliate, the Portland Pirates.

Gormley, selected in the first-round (No. 13) of the 2010 NHL Draft, has produced six goals and 32 points in 48 games for the Pirates this season. His 26 assists are the second most on the team and his five power-play goals are tied for third most.

The 6-foot-2, 196-pounder has totaled 11 goals, 61 points and 70 penalty minutes in 116 career games for the Pirates.
