Wild sign goalie John Curry to two-way contract
The Minnesota Wild signed goalie John Curry, a former Hobey Baker Award finalist while at Boston University, to a two-way contract.

The Minnesota Wild on Monday signed goalie John Curry to a two-way contract.

The 29-year-old has a 6-3-2 record, 1.95 goals-against average and .939 save percentage in 12 games with the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League this season, his seventh in professional hockey. He has also posted a 10-2-0 record, 2.66 GAA and .917 save percentage in 13 games with the Orlando Solar Bears in the ECHL. He spent most of last season with Orlando after playing in Germany in 2011-12.

Curry, one of 10 finalists for the Hobey Baker Award in 2006-07 while playing for Boston University, was 2-2-0 in four NHL appearances with the Pittsburgh Penguins from 2008-10.
