The Columbus Blue Jackets goaltender and 2013 Vezina Trophy winner will be making his Olympic debut at Bolshoy Ice Dome (7:30 a.m. ET; NBCSN, CBC), the Russian team announced Saturday morning.

Semyon Varlamov of the Colorado Avalanche played in Russia's 5-2 opening win against Slovenia on Thursday. He made 12 saves.

Jonathan Quick will start in goal for the United States. The Los Angeles Kings goaltender made 22 saves in a 7-1 win against Slovakia on Thursday.

The first place team in Group A will receive a bye into the quarterfinals. Russia and the United States each wrap up preliminary-round play Sunday. The United States takes on Slovenia (7:30 a.m. ET, NBCSN) at the same time Russia faces Slovakia (7:30 a.m. ET, USA).
