QMJHL Roundup: Grigorenko scores three times as Remparts down Cataractes

SHAWINIGAN, Que. - Mikhail Grigorenko scored three times and set up one more as the Quebec Remparts crushed the host Shawinigan Cataractes 6-1 on Sunday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Olivier Archambault had two goals and two assists for the Remparts (33-15-9), Adam Chapman had three assists and Anthony Duclair scored once to round out Quebec's offence.

Gabriel Slight scored the lone goal for the Cataractes (15-34-8), who are winless in four games.

Callum Booth made 39 saves for the Remparts.

Shawingan's Storm Phaneuf turned aside 27-of-33 shots in defeat.

MOOSEHEADS 6 TITAN 0

BATHURST, N.B. — Philippe Gadoury scored twice and Zachary Fucale made 17 saves as Halifax blanked the plummeting Titan.

Nikolaj Ehlers and Jonathan Drouin each had a goal and an assist for the Mooseheads (37-18-3) while Luca Ciampini and Danny Mooynihan had the others.

Scott Oke led all Acadie-Bathurst (17-34-6) skaters with three shots on net.

Jacob Brennan allowed five goals on 24 shots through 40 minutes before being relieved by Miguel Sullivan to start the third period. Sulivan stopped 9-of-10 shots in relief for the Titan, who are on a 13-game skid.

SCREAMING EAGLES 7 SEA DOGS 1

SYDNEY, N.S. — Loik Levelle scored once and set up two more and Julien Pelletier added a pair of goals as Cape Breton cruised past Saint John.

Kyle Farrell, Bronson Beaton, Charles-Eric Legare and Guillaume Gauthier also scored for the Screaming Eagles (29-24-4) while Cameron Darcy chipped in with two assists.

Jason Cameron scored for the Sea Dogs (17-36-4), who dropped their fourth in a row.

Alex Bureau stopped 29 shots for Cape Breton, and Antoine Landry made 21 saves for Saint John.

DRAKKAR 7 HUSKIES 3

BAIE-COMEAU, Que. — Charles Hudon and Valentin Zykov each had a goal and three assists to power the Drakkar past Rouyn-Noranda.

Jeremy Gregoire scored twice for Baie-Comeau (39-14-4) and Gabryel Paquin-Boudreau, Guillaume Beaudry and Maxime St-Cyr added single goals.

Jean-Sebastien Dea, Marcus Power and Julien Nantel supplied the scoring for the Huskies (31-20-5).

Philippe Cadorette made 27 saves for the Drakkar while Alexandre Belanger turned aside 25-of-32 shots for Rouyn-Noranda.

BOISBRIAND, Que. — Etienne Marcoux stopped all 24 shots his way as the Armada snapped Victoriaville's 13-game winning streak.

Christopher Clapperton and Frederic Bergeron scored for Blainville-Boisbriand (37-10-9), the top team in the QMJHL, while Marcoux earned his 10th-career shutout.

Carl-Antoine Delisle led all Tigres (29-20-6) skaters with four shots on net.

Victoriaville's Francois Tremblay turned away 25-of-26 shots in a losing cause.

OCEANIC 3 VOLTIGEURS 0

RIMOUSKI, Que. — Philippe Desrosiers stopped 28 shots as the Oceanic shutout Drummondville.

Samuel Morin, Frederik Gauthier and Michael Joly scored for Rimouski (33-15-7) while Sebastien Sylvestre and Anthony DeLuca each tacked on two assists.

Jerome Verrier led the Voltigeurs (34-19-3) with five shots against Desrosiers, but was also a team-worst minus-2.

Drummondville's Louis-Phillip Guindon gave up three goals on 10 shots before giving way to Joe Fleschler, who kicked out all 13 shots his way in 37 minutes of relief.
