OWEN SOUND, Ont. - Kevin Labanc broke a 1-1 tie with his ninth goal of the season in the second period, and the Barrie Colts edged the Owen Sound Attack 3-1 in Ontario Hockey League action on Monday.

Aaron Ekblad scored his 19th of the year for Barrie (26-22-3), and Brendan Lemieux sealed the victory by adding a power-play, empty-net goal with 51 seconds remaining in the game.

Chris Bigras had the lone goal for the Attack (23-22-7).

Colts goaltender Mackenzie Blackwood made 24 saves for the win, while Owen Sound's Brandon Hope turned aside 32 shots in the loss.

Quote of the Day

I spent a long summer thinking about that playoff series and what could have been. [The Blackhawks] ended up being the Stanley Cup champions, so we know we lost to a very good team. It's tough to know how close we were, and it motivates us for this year.
