OHL Roundup: Scott Kosmachuk scores 4 as Storm flatten Rangers 10-4

KITCHENER, Ont. - Scott Kosmachuk was dominant with four goals and an assist as the league-leading Guelph Storm clobbered the Kitchener Rangers 10-4 in Ontario Hockey League action Tuesday.

Robby Fabbri, Nick Ebert, Ryan Horvat, Kerby Rychel, Brock McGinn and Zack Mitchell also scored for the Storm (39-9-3), who led 5-1 after the first period.

Justin Bailey had a hat trick for Kitchener (17-31-2), with Matia Marcantuoni adding a single.

The Storm got help in goal from Justin Nichols, who stopped 39 shots. Meanwhile in Kitchener's net, Jordan DeKort was pulled after allowing three goals on five shots in the opening six minutes. Matthew Greenfield took over and made 30 saves.

PETES 4 67'S 3

OTTAWA — Peterborough scored a pair of quick third-period goals to go ahead for good against the 67's.

Josh MacDonald and Nelson Armstrong each scored during a 19-second span for the Petes (23-23-4), who also had goals from Eric Cornel and Nick Ritchie.

Sam Studnicka, Connor Brown and Alex Lintuniemi replied for Ottawa (17-29-4).

Petes goaltender Andrew D'Agostini finished with 26 saves, while at the other end of the ice Philippe Trudeau stopped 32 shots.
