Perry, Getzlaf score in same game for 10th time this season as Ducks beat Flyers 5-3

ANAHEIM, Calif. - Ryan Getzlaf scored the go-ahead goal in the final minute of the first period and the Anaheim Ducks also got goals from Corey Perry, Patrick Maroon and Daniel Winnik in a 5-3 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday night.

Saku Koivu added an empty-net goal and Frederik Andersen made 27 saves, helping the Ducks improve their league-leading record to 40-11-5 and their home mark to 22-2-2. They have won 22 of their last 26 games.

Winnik gave the Ducks a 4-2 lead with a short-handed goal, the ninth allowed this season by the Flyers — tying Edmonton for the league lead.

Quote of the Day

I downplayed the first one because I thought it's just a hockey game. We just want to win the game; it's against our rival and we want the two points. I downplayed it, but now having gone through the first one I look back and say, 'Geez, that was really cool.' I think as I've grown a bit older I've got a lot more appreciation for what we're allowed to do every day.
