CeeLo Green headlines entertainment lineup for 2014 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series at Yankee Stadium

NEW YORK -- Five-time Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter-producer CeeLo Green will take the stage at Yankee Stadium during the much-anticipated 2014 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series™ in New York, the National Hockey League announced today. Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter and actress Michelle Williams, the cast of the Tony and Grammy Award-winning Broadway hit Jersey Boys, Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes, star of the upcoming musical Bullets Over Broadway Marin Mazzie, Beatles tribute band Strawberry Fields, and both the FDNY Emerald Society Pipes and Drums and the NYPD Pipes and Drums, will join CeeLo as part of the entertainment line-up for the two outdoor games later this month.

At the Jan. 26 face-off between the New York Rangers® and New Jersey Devils®, the cast of Jersey Boys will perform their classic hits during the pre-game festivities, which also will include a flyover by the Black Diamond Jet Team, North America's premier civilian jet team. The FDNY Emerald Society Pipes and Drums and the NYPD Pipes and Drums will perform as the Rangers and Devils are introduced and take to the ice; members of the NYPD / FDNY Color Guard will present the game's colors. Three-time Tony Award® nominee Marin Mazzie will sing the U.S. National Anthem; New Jersey Shore rock band Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes will rock during the first intermission. The Jan. 26 game, and performances, will be broadcast live from Yankee Stadium at 12:30 p.m. ET on NBC in the U.S. and CBC in Canada.

To celebrate the Jan. 29 match-up between the Rangers and New York Islanders®, CeeLo, known for his electric stage presence and popular role as a coach on NBC's hit show The Voice, will rock Yankee Stadium during the pre-game festivities and first intermission. Williams, whose next solo album is due out later this year, will sing the U.S. national anthem; Strawberry Fields will perform in the second intermission. The Jan. 29 game, and performances, will be broadcast live at 7:30 p.m. E.T. on NBCSN in the U.S. and TSN and RDS2 in Canada.

Jersey Boys (Pre-Game, Rangers v. Devils on Jan. 26)

Richard H. Blake, Matt Bogart, Jared Bradshaw and Christopher Messina of the cast of the Tony and Grammy Award-winning musical Jersey Boys, will perform during the pre-game festivities on Jan. 26. Jersey Boys opened on Broadway to critical acclaim on November 6, 2005 at the August Wilson Theatre. The show has been seen by more than 19 million people worldwide and is currently playing in New York; Las Vegas; London; in cities across the U.S. on a National Tour, The Netherlands and Seoul, South Korea.

Written by Marshall Brickman & Rick Elice, with music by Bob Gaudio, lyrics by Bob Crewe, and directed by two-time Tony Award-winner Des McAnuff and choreographed by Sergio Trujillo, Jersey Boys is the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. Jersey Boys won the 2006 Tony Award for Best Musical and the 2009 Olivier Award for Best Musical. The Original Broadway Cast Recording, produced by Bob Gaudio, received the 2006 Grammy Award for Best Musical Show Album and has been certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The Broadway production also won the 2006 Outer Critics Circle and Drama League Awards for Best Musical.

Black Diamond Jet Team (Celebratory Fly-Over, Rangers v. Devils on Jan. 26)

The Black Diamond Jet Team is a civilian-owned aerobatic jet team. The team features five L-39s and one T-33, two of which will be flying over Yankee Stadium on Jan. 26, all painted in a distinctive arctic camouflage paint scheme and piloted by former military fighter pilots from the U.S. Navy and Air Force. The Black Diamond Jet Team has flown college and NFL football game flyovers, bringing fans to their feet and adding a new level of excitement. The team has also performed at air shows across North America.

Marin Mazzie (U.S. National Anthem, Rangers v. Devils on Jan. 26)

Currently starring as Helen Sinclair in Bullets Over Broadway, critically acclaimed actress and singer Marin Mazzie has been heard in many of the country's major symphony halls, cabaret and concert venues, and has starred in some of the most memorable musicals on the Broadway stage and London's West End. Prior to her lead role in Bullets Over Broadway, she most recently co-starred in the Off-Broadway revival of Carrie (Drama Desk and Lucille Lortel Award nominations) and starred on Broadway in Next to Normal opposite real life husband Jason Danieley. Marin received Tony® and Drama Desk Award nominations and an Outer Critics Circle Award for her performance as Lilli/Katharine in the hit revival of Kiss Me, Kate, and later received an Olivier Award nomination when she made her West End debut in the show.

Television appearances include "The Big C," "Smash," "Without a Trace," "Still Standing," "Numb3ers," "Jake in Progress," "Stacked," "Pryor Offenses," "One Life to Live" and many PBS' "Great Performances" specials including "Passion," "My Favorite Broadway: The Leading Ladies," and "My Favorite Broadway: The Love Songs;" and Live from Lincoln Center's "Ring Them Bells! A Kander & Ebb Celebration." Her extensive concert career spans the country from Carnegie Hall to the Hollywood Bowl. She has appeared with the NY Philharmonic in two of their PBS specials: "Sondheim: The Birthday Concert" and their Live at Lincoln Center performance of Camelot as Guinevere.

Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes (First Intermission, Rangers v. Devils on Jan. 26)

Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes first achieved prominence in the mid-1970s, emerging from the same New Jersey Shore music scene as his now legendary contemporary and friend Bruce Springsteen. Southside's first three albums, I Don't Want To Go Home, This Time It's for Real, and Hearts of Stone, were produced by band co-founder Steven Van Zandt (E Street Band, The Sopranos), and largely featured songs written by Van Zandt and/or Springsteen. The Van Zandt-written "I Don't Want To Go Home" became Southside's signature song, an evocative mixture of horn-based melodic riffs and sentimental lyrics. In 1982 Rolling Stone Magazine voted Hearts of Stone among the top 100 albums of the 1970s and 1980s. With their classic blend of hard-core R&B and street-level rock, molten grooves, soulful guitar licks and blistering horn section, Johnny and his Jukes continue to put their unique stamp on the Jersey Shore sound, while recalling the glory years of Otis Redding and similar Stax Records titans

Michelle Williams (U.S. National Anthem, Rangers v. Islanders on Jan. 29)

In late 1999, Williams auditioned for and became a member of the record-setting R&B/pop female group Destiny's Child. A string of hit singles—among them Say My Name, Independent Women Part I, Survivor and Bootylicious —spurred worldwide album sales of 50 million and various awards, including a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and three Grammys.

During her Destiny's Child tenure, Williams released her debut solo album in 2002. Drawing from the singer/songwriter's gospel background, Heart to Yours featured collaborations with the legendary Shirley Caesar and contemporary gospel icons Mary Mary. Reaching No. 1 on Billboard's Gospel Albums chart, the project also became that year's top-selling gospel album. Sophomore set, Do You Know , followed in 2004, debuting at No. 2 on the Gospel Albums tally and No. 3 on Christian Albums. Two years after Destiny's Child formally disbanded in 2006, Williams segued back to R&B/pop/dance with Unexpected. The 2008 set spun off the hit dance singles, We Break the Dawn and The Greatest.

Between recording projects, Williams began honing her acting skills. She made her theatrical stage debut in 2003 in the title role of the hit Broadway musical Aida, succeeding singer Toni Braxton. Williams has since appeared in productions of The Color Purple (playing blues singer Shug Avery), Chicago (as chorus girl Roxie Hart) and most recently wrapped a national tour with the musical Fela!

Williams will release her first new album in five years, Journey to Freedom, in 2014 via eOne Music.

CeeLo Green (Pre-Game and First Intermission, Rangers v. Islanders on Jan. 29)

As an entertainer and businessman with many layers, CeeLo Green cannot be summed up in just one title. He is a five-time Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter-producer, television personality, actor, entrepreneur, and pop culture and fashion icon.

CeeLo Green first came onto the music scene as a member of the southern hip-hop group Goodie Mob along with Big Gipp, T-Mo and Khujo, who have reunited and released their new album, Age Against the Machine, in August 2013. After CeeLo's success with Goodie Mob, he reinvented himself and formed Gnarls Barkley with deejay-producer Danger Mouse to release the 2006 worldwide hit, Crazy, which reached No. 1 in various singles charts worldwide and No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. Following Gnarls Barkley, Green put his time back into his solo career as CeeLo Green and released the 2010 album, The Lady Killer, which featured his hit single, Forget You.

In 2010, CeeLo received five Grammy nominations for his worldwide hit, Forget You, winning the category for "Best Urban/Alternative Performance." The single was certified Gold in the United States and Denmark and achieved platinum status in Canada, New Zealand, and the UK and multi-platinum status in Australia. In October 2012, CeeLo released his Christmas album, CeeLo's Magic Moment, which featured the single, All I Need is Love featuring The Muppets. Currently, CeeLo is finishing his forthcoming, new solo album entitled "Girl Power," which will be released in summer 2014.

He has made memorable appearances on Saturday Night Live (2011), Oprah (2011), ESPYs (2011), Kids' Choice Awards (2012), the Super Bowl with Madonna (2012), The Grammy Awards with the Muppets (2011), Brit Awards (2011), Billboard Music Awards (2011 & 2012), Soul Train Awards (2011), BET Awards (2011), and hit such mainstream status that even Gwyneth Paltrow covered, Forget You, on the hit series, Glee (2011). CeeLo has also landed the cover of Fast Company's 2012 "Most Creative People in Business" issue, Rolling Stone magazine as well as Jet magazine.

In addition to his success as a recording artist, CeeLo Green has completed four seasons as a coach on NBC's hit show, The Voice, alongside Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton. He has also made guest-appearances on NBC's popular show Parenthood (2011), Anger Management (2013), FOX's American Dad (2011), Nickelodeon's How To Rock (2012) and also hosted his own talk show CeeLo Green Talking to Strangers, on FUSE. On top of his television work, CeeLo Green is also transitioning his career into acting and has made an impact on the film industry starring in the 2012 musical drama, Sparkle, Whitney Houston's last film. He was the voice of "Murray the Mummy" in the Sony 2012 animated film, Hotel Transylvania, alongside Adam Sandler, Selena Gomez, Andy Samberg and co-starred with Keira Knightley, Mark Ruffalo and Catherine Keener in the John Carney film, Can a Song Save Your Life?

Strawberry Fields (Second Intermission, Rangers v. Islanders on Jan. 29)

"Strawberry Fields, The Ultimate Beatles Tribute", is dedicated to bringing the audience as close to a real Beatles concert as you can get. The band, featuring former members of the hit Broadway musical "Beatlemania", are true look-alike performers in full costume, that speak in Liverpudlian accents, and play on the vintage musical instruments that Beatles fans have come to recognize.


"Strawberry Fields" has been delighting audiences of all ages for over 15 years, and in the past, has shared the stage with featured guests from Steve Holly, drummer for Paul McCartney who was featured on his second solo album, Back To The Egg; Billy J. Kramer (one of Brian Epstein's original British Invasion stars); Tony Sheridan, who recorded an entire album with The Beatles; and Pete Best, who was the original drummer for The Beatles.
