ROCKFORD, Ill. - T.J. Brennan's power-play goal early in the third period proved to be the winner as the Toronto Marlies edged the Rockford IceHogs 3-2 in AHL action on Monday afternoon.
Brennan's 17th goal of the season at 4:13 of the third gave Toronto (22-11-2-2) a 4- 2 advantage. Rockford's Joakim Nordstrom rounded out the scoring on the power play at 12:42.
Gregg McKegg and Abbott Spencer had the other goals for Toronto while Drew MacIntyre stopped 40 shots.
