Predators send Mazanec to AHL
Nashville Predators send Marek Mazanec to AHL.

The Nashville Predators on Friday sent goaltender Marek Mazanec to the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League.

Mazanec was the NHL's rookie of the month in November, when he won five of six decisions in one stretch and allowed two goals or less in eight consecutive games.

Overall, Mazanec is 8-10-4 with a 2.80 goals-against average and .902 save percentage. He has also won all five of his starts with the Admirals, posting a 1.97 GAA and .933 save percentage.

The Predators acquired goaltender Devan Dubnyk from the Edmonton Oilers on Thursday and also have Carter Hutton as they wait for veteran Pekka Rinne to recover from a hip infection.

Quote of the Day

I'm hoping Bob [Murray] didn't go out and get Dany Heatley just to get someone. I'm sure he's excited and motivated.
