NHL unveils rendering of Dodger Stadium
The National Hockey League today unveiled the architectural rendering of the 2014 Coors Light Stadium Series™ outdoor NHL game at Dodger Stadium between the Los Angeles Kings and Anaheim Ducks.

NEW YORK -- The National Hockey League today unveiled the architectural rendering of the 2014 Coors Light Stadium Series™ outdoor NHL game at Dodger Stadium between the Los Angeles Kings and Anaheim Ducks on Saturday, Jan. 25 at 6:30 p.m. PT / 9:30 p.m. ET.

The rendering illustrates the final transformation of iconic Dodger Stadium for the historic NHL game. The Kings and Ducks will face-off on the NHL-regulation size ice rink located in the infield. Platinum recording artist Jordin Sparks will sing the U.S. national anthem while singer/songwriter John Ondrasik of Five for Fighting will perform during the second intermission on the stage located at home plate. That stage will feature a special design created by Los Angeles art legend Mister Cartoon and children from the Los Angeles-based nonprofit, Para Los Niños.

The stage in right field will feature special pre-game and first intermission performances from legendary rock band and 2014 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductees KISS. Local beach volleyball players will play throughout the game on the beach volleyball sand court located in left field. Centerfield will feature palm streets in a nod to the game's Southern California setting.

Participants from the Ducks and Kings' NHL Street hockey programs will scrimmage on the street hockey rink adjacent to the NHL rink.

The Ducks and Kings logos will share the spotlight in centerfield. A sand sculpture of the Kings logo will be embedded in the beach volleyball sand court while the Ducks logo will be featured in the bottom of a pond in center right field.

Adjacent to the stadium is NHL Spectator Plaza presented by Time Warner Cable, a free outdoor hockey and entertainment festival from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., just prior to puck drop, in the left field parking lot. Fans of all ages will be treated to live musical performances, interactive hockey-themed attractions, prizing and giveaways, food, beverage and officially-licensed 2014 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series® merchandise and collectibles available for purchase.

A limited number of tickets to the Kings-Ducks match-up at Dodger Stadium are available for purchase via Ticketmaster.com and Ticketmaster.ca, the official ticket marketplace of the NHL.

The Kings and Ducks outdoor game at Dodger Stadium will be telecast nationally in the U.S. on NBC Sports Network and throughout Canada on CBC and RDS2 at 6:30 p.m. PT / 9:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, Jan. 25. SiriusXM Satellite Radio will provide radio coverage. NHL Network™ and NHL.com will provide extensive coverage live from Southern California leading up to and after the game. NHL Social™ will have exclusive coverage on all social platforms, including the use of the hashtag #StadiumSeries.

The Los Angeles event will mark a series of firsts for the National Hockey League and its fans as the Jan. 25 game will be the first outdoor regular season NHL game played in the U.S. west of the Mississippi River, the southern-most outdoor NHL game in history, and the first-ever outdoor NHL game in California. In its 51 year history, the venerable Dodger Stadium has hosted eight World Series and close to 4,000 regular-season games, but never an NHL® hockey game – marking another first for this Stadium Series event.
