SAN ANTONIO - Ben Street scored 3:38 into overtime as the Abbotsford Heat edged the host San Antonio Rampage 3-2 on Saturday in American Hockey League action.

Chad Billins and Josh Jooris also scored for the Heat (24-13-2), who halted a four-game slide.

Abbotsford's Joni Ortio turned away 31-of-33 shots for the victory.

Vincent Trocheck and Garret Wilson supplied the offence for the Rampage (13-20-4). Jacob Markstrom stopped 23 shots in a losing cause.

Wilson put San Antonio ahead 2-1 at 13:48 of the second period with his club's second power-play goal of the game.

The Rampage carried a one-goal lead into the third, but Jooris responded for Abbotsford at 10:47 to force extra time.

The Heat went 0 for 3 on the power play while the Rampage scored twice on four chances with the man advantage.

Once again, it shows character in this dressing room. Once again, there's no quitting in here. We all wanted this so bad and we worked so hard to get home-ice advantage and we weren't going to let this one slide.
