Hamilton Bulldogs edge Rochester Americans 2-1 for sixth straight victory

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The Hamilton Bulldogs extended their win streak to six games on Friday by edging the host Rochester Americans 2-1 in American Hockey League action.

Nathan Beaulieu opened the scoring for the Bulldogs (18-14-4) with a power-play goal 6:57 into the first period and Justin Courtnall made it 2-0 at 6:08 of the second.

Michael Catenacci put the Americans (14-14-6) on the board at 14:15 of the third period.

Hamilton's Dustin Tokarski made 19 saves for the win as Matt Hackett turned aside 17-of-19 shots for Rochester, which dropped its third game in a row.

The Bulldogs went 1 for 4 on the power play while the Americans failed to score on 10 chances with the man advantage.
