Columbus Blue Jackets forward Blake Comeau to miss 4-6 weeks with sprained knee

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Columbus Blue Jackets have placed forward Blake Comeau on injured reserve with a sprained knee sustained in Thursday's practice.

Comeau is expected to be out for four to six weeks.

The 27-year-old leads the Blue Jackets in hits with 131. He has three goals and eight assists with 21 penalty minutes in 43 games this season.

Acquired by Columbus in a trade with Calgary on April 5, 2013, he has 70 goals and 89 assists in 404 career NHL games with the Blue Jackets, Flames and New York Islanders.

Quote of the Day

When somebody goes out and is there to score goals, but is also there to make some big hits, fight, do all of those things, and he has a great mustache, it was great to see him get that hit and get everybody going.
