Joey Crabb has winner in San Antonio Rampage's 5-1 victory over Abbotsford Heat

SAN ANTONIO - Joey Crabb's power-play goal in the first period was the eventual winner as the San Antonio Rampage scored five unanswered goals in a 5-1 victory over the Abbotsford Heat on Tuesday in American Hockey League play.

John McFarland, Colby Robak and Matt Gilroy also scored on the man advantage for San Antonio (13-20-3), while Bobby Butler had an even-strength goal.

Jacob Markstrom made 27 saves as the Rampage ended a three-game skid.

Mark Cundari's goal 1:35 into the game gave Abbotsford (23-12-2) a 1-0 lead. Joni Ortio stopped 19 of 23 shots in 46:36 of work for the Heat. Joey MacDonald turned aside six of seven shots in relief.

San Antonio went 4 for 6 on the power play, while Abbotsford didn't score on its five man advantages.

Quote of the Day

You don't see many. The [Drew] Doughtys, the [P.K.] Subbans, those are guys that create offense from the back and then on top of that ability, the size that he has. In the West you play against some pretty big players, and being able to clear the crease and contain the [Ryan] Getzlafs and the [Corey] Perrys and [Anze] Kopitars and players like that, we're excited about him going back there.
