Anaheim Ducks put D Bryan Allen on injured reserve, recall D Nolan Yonkman from AHL

ANAHEIM, Calif. - Ducks defenceman Bryan Allen has been placed on injured reserve with a lower-body injury.

Anaheim also recalled defenceman Nolan Yonkman from its AHL affiliate in Norfolk on Tuesday.

Allen has seven assists and a plus-13 rating in 40 games this season for the NHL-leading Ducks. He sat out against Edmonton last Friday, but returned to the lineup for Sunday's victory over Vancouver.

Yonkman arrived in Anaheim in time for warmups before Tuesday night's game against Boston. The veteran suited up for two games earlier this season for the Ducks, getting one assist.

Anaheim already was without injured defencemen Luca Sbisa and Sheldon Souray, who hasn't played all season.

Quote of the Day

When we started our journey we made a commitment to our fans to be relevant and to see the Chicago Blackhawks become the best professional hockey organization. There are not two finer symbols of that than Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane. The commitment we have made to these incredible young men is equal to the commitment they have made to our team, our fans, our entire organization and the city of Chicago.
