Springfield Falcons score final three goal in 4-2 win over St. John's IceCaps

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Springfield's Jonathan Marchessault tied the game 2-2 with a power-play goal at 19:58 of the second period, and Jean-Francois Jacques got the winner 78 seconds into the third, as the Falcons went on to beat the St. John's IceCaps 4-2 in American Hockey League action on Tuesday

Kyle MacKinnon opened the scoring for St. John's (16-13-) at 10:37 of the first period, and Lukas Sedlak tied it for the Falcons (22-5-4).

Kael Mouillierat made it 2-1 for the IceCaps at 5:57 of the second period.

Andrew Joudrey rounded out the scoring for Springfield at 18:07 of the third.

Jeremy Smith made 31 saves for the Falcons, while Eddie Pasquale stopped 29 shots for St. John's.

The IceCaps were 0 for 6 on the power play, while Springfield was 1 for 4.
