Switzerland clinches playoff spot with win over Norway at world juniors

MALMO, Sweden - Mirco Muller broke a 2-2 tie at 13:43 of the third period as Switzerland edged Norway 3-2 Monday at the world junior hockey championship.

Switzerland (1-2-0) locked up the final playoff berth in Group B with the win, while Norway (0-3-0) will head to the relegation round.

Fabrice Herzog and Anthony Rouiller also scored for Switzerland.

Erlend Lesund and Christoffer Rasch scored for Norway.

Melvin Nyffeler made 24 saves for Switzerland.

Joachim Svendsen stopped 35 shots for Norway.
