Patrick Sharp, Ryan Miller and James Neal named NHL's three stars of the week

NEW YORK, N.Y. - Chicago Blackhawks left-winger Patrick Sharp was named NHL first star of the week Monday after leading all players with six goals last week.

Sharp also had an assist over the stretch as he helped the Blackhawks take five of a possible six points to maintain first place in the Central Division.

Buffalo Sabres goaltender Ryan Miller was the second star and Pittsburgh Penguins left-winger James Neal was the third star.

Miller was 2-0-1 last week with a 1.55 goals-against average and .961 save percentage. Neal led the league with eight points (4-4) as the Penguins won two of three games.

Quote of the Day

It's very special, obviously; there is draft day and then there's the day that you sign your first deal. It's been a crazy couple of weeks and I'm very honored to be able to do that."
