General manager Ken Holland told the Free Press that Jakub Kindl will return to the lineup in Ericsson's place. Kindl has been a healthy scratch the past two games following the return of rookie Danny DeKeyser from a separated shoulder.
Ericsson was injured in the second period Monday when he delivered body checks to Islanders forwards Josh Bailey and Matt Martin. After the check on Martin, Ericsson skated off favoring his left side.
Ericsson, 29, has one goal and seven assists in 29 games.
