Blue Jackets activate Gaborik, Wisniewski
The Columbus Blue Jackets on Friday activated forward Marian Gaborik and defenseman James Wisniewski off injured reserve.

The Columbus Blue Jackets on Friday activated forward Marian Gaborik and defenseman James Wisniewski off injured reserve and they will be available when the team completes a home-and-home against the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday at Nationwide Arena.

Gaborik, 31, missed the past 17 games with a knee injury. He has five goals and six assists in 17 games this season.

Wisniewski, 29, missed the past six games with an upper-body injury. He leads Columbus defensemen in scoring with 18 points (two goals), and his eight power-play assists is the highest total on the team.
