Edmonton's Potter faces hearing for hit
Edmonton Oilers defenseman Corey Potter will have a hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety Monday afternoon.

Edmonton Oilers defenseman Corey Potter will have a hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety Monday afternoon for an incident with Anaheim Ducks forward Nick Bonino on Sunday at Honda Center.

At 5:40 of the second period, Potter received a major penalty and a game misconduct for checking from behind.

Bonino left the game and went to the dressing room, although he eventually returned.

The following grounds are being considered for supplemental discipline: boarding/checking from behind. However, the Department of Player Safety retains the right to make adjustments to the infraction upon review.

Anaheim won the game, 3-2.
