GLENDALE, Ariz. - Phoenix Coyotes captain Shane Doan still doesn't know what made him so sick for the past 10 days, but he's responding to medicine and starting to feel better.
Doan missed his fourth straight game Saturday night against Carolina, but joined the team in meetings and was in the arena for the game.
He started feeling sick after the Coyotes played Edmonton on Dec. 3 and went to see a doctor in Vancouver three days later when his symptoms wouldn't subside.
Doan said he had a fever and headaches while he was sick, but has returned to normal activities away from the ice and rode a bike for 10 minutes on Saturday without any trouble.
Doctors have yet to determine what caused his illness.
