NEW YORK, N.Y. - Forwards Jeff Skinner of the Carolina Hurricanes and Taylor Hall of the Edmonton Oilers as well as Vancouver Canucks goalie Roberto Luongo were named the NHL's three starts of the week.

Hall claimed the second star after registering four goals and two assists in three contests. The first overall selection in the 2010 NHL Draft has 25 points (11 goals, 14 assists) in 24 games this season.

Luongo captured the third star after posing a 3-0-0 record and 1.30 goals-against average with Vancouver. The 34-year-old Montreal native is 14-8-5 on the season with a 2.28 GAA and .918 save percentage.

Quote of the Day

The groove of being behind a bench is going to be interesting at first, but thank God we have a few exhibition games to get rid of those cobwebs. Overall the excitement of it all and the freshness and coming back refreshed, all those things are going to be assets. If [the players] come ready to give their best effort in practice and games, good things are going to happen. I'm always looking for results. It's not always on the scoreboard. It's winning and building something.
