Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Victor Hedman will miss at least a week with a lower-body injury sustained Thursday against the Ottawa Senators, coach Jon Cooper told Tampa Bay Times reporter Damian Cristodero.
Hedman and defenseman Keith Aulie each left the game in the second period Thursday and didn't return. Aulie sustained a broken hand which will require surgery and is out indefinitely.
Hedman is enjoying a breakout season with six goals and 15 points in 28 games.
On the plus side for the injury-plagued Lightning, defensemen Radko Gudas and Eric Brewer are expected back in the lineup Saturday when the Winnipeg Jets visit.
