Senators recall forward Hoffman from Binghamton, send down Borowiecki and Grant

OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators have recalled forward Mike Hoffman from the American Hockey League's Binghamton Senators.

Hoffman, 24, leads Binghamton with 26 points (11 goals, 15 assists) in 21 games this season.

Originally selected by Ottawa in the fifth round (130th overall) of the 2009 draft, Hoffman has recorded 128 points (52 goals, 76 assists) and 108 penalty minutes over 212 career AHL games.

The team also announced that it has re-assigned defenceman Mark Borowiecki and forward Derek Grant to the Binghamton.

Quote of the Day

Because of the way they play and their skill set I don't think they're fourth-line players, so in my mind I'm looking at one of those guys I'll have to move over to the wing.
