BATHURST, N.B. - Christophe Boivin forced extra time then scored again in a shootout to lift the Acadie-Bathurst Titan to a 4-3 win over the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies in the lone Quebec Major Junior Hockey League game Thursday.
Adam Stevens also scored in the shootout while Titan goalie Jacob Brennan stopped both Huskies shooters.
Boivin tied the game at three on the power play at 15:26 in the third period after goals by Scott Oke and Adam Chapman for the Titan (13-14-2). Brennan finished the game with 21 saves.
I'm very excited about what happened today. We've worked on this deal with Toronto for a month, or over a month. It got a little bit of legs on draft day, but it really heated up last night, and we were able to complete the deal today.
