OHL Roundup: Brandon Hope makes 43 saves as Owen Sound beats Plymouth 3-1

PLYMOUTH, Mich. - Brandon Hope was spectacular with 43 saves as the Owen Sound Attack defeated the Plymouth Whalers 3-1 in Ontario Hockey League play Wednesday.

Jaden Lindo, with a goal just 14 seconds into the game, Kyle Hope and Zach Nastasiuk each scored to give the Attack (12-10-4) a 3-0 lead after the first period.

Carter Sandlak spoiled Brandon Hope's shutout bid with a goal 10:29 into the second for Plymouth (11-15-1).

Alex Nedeljkovic allowed all three goals on 10 shots before being replaced in the Whalers' net by Zack Bowman, who finished with 26 saves.

WOLVES 3 GREYHOUNDS 2 (SO)

SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont. — Connor Crisp scored once in regulation and again in the shootout to lift Sudbury past the Greyhounds.

Nicholas Baptiste also had a goal in regulation and the shootout for the Wolves (11-9-6).

Andrew Fritsch and Darnell Nurse replied for Sault Ste. Marie (17-5-3) while Jared McCann had the team's lone goal in the shootout.

Franky Palazzese finished with 32 saves for Sudbury, while Matt Murray stopped 39 shots for Sault Ste. Marie.

SPIRIT 6 SPITFIRES 2

SAGINAW, Mich. — Nikita Serebryakov stopped 43 shots and the Spirit's offence did the rest of the work.

Justin Sefton, Dylan Sadowy, Kristoff Kontos, Jimmy Lodge, Mitchell Stephens and Cody Payne each scored for Saginaw (15-8-3).

Nikita Yazkov and Ryan Verbeek scored for the Spitfires (15-10-0).

Alex Fontinos made 28 saves for Windsor.

BULLS 5 STEELHEADS 2

BELLEVILLE, Ont. — Michael Cramarossa scored twice as the Bulls cruised past Mississauga.

Aaron Berisha, Chad Heffernan and Garrett Hooey also scored for Belleville (6-16-4), which opened a 3-0 lead en route to the win.

Bobby MacIntyre and Trevor Carrick replied for the Steelheads (13-13-2) in the second period.

Bulls goaltender Braydon Banitsiotis finished with 33 saves. Spencer Martin allowed four goals on 23 shots before being replaced in the Mississauga net by Dawson Carty, who stopped 10 shots.
