ST. LOUIS -- Minnesota Wild forward Zach Parise missed the majority of the second period and all of the third in a 3-0 loss against the St. Louis Blues on Monday after blocking a shot.
Parise, who leads the team with 22 points and is second in goals with 11, blocked an Alexander Steen shot in the first period and seemed to be favoring his left foot. He came back and played three shifts in the second period before departing for good.
"We'll find out more tomorrow," Parise said.
The Wild are describing his injury as day-to-day.
Parise finished with 11:02 of ice time on 13 shifts. He had a goal disallowed in the first 30 seconds of the game.
"First off, when a guy like Zach gets hurt, it's always concerning because he's a top-notch player and brings an awful lot more than just scoring goals," Wild coach Mike Yeo said. "But I do think that we're a deep enough team and I think we have enough character that we should be able to battle through it.
"Certainly it'll be a challenge. Who knows with Zach? He came back and played. We don't really have any results yet to determine whether he can play Wednesday or not. We won't know yet. We'll just have to wait until we get back."
