Capitals' Neuvirth day-to-day with lower-body injury
Washington Capitals goaltender Michal Neuvirth left practice Monday early and is day-to-day with a lower-body injury.

Washington Capitals goaltender Michal Neuvirth left practice early Monday and is day-to-day with a lower-body injury.

Neuvirth appeared to sustain the injury when the Capitals were working on 3-on-none drills. He's 2-3-1 with a 2.83 goals-against average and .912 save percentage in seven appearances this season.

The Capitals are off until Wednesday, when they host the Ottawa Senators.

Also Monday, the Capitals recalled defenseman Dmitry Orlov from Hershey of the American Hockey League and reassigned defenseman Tyson Strachan to the Bears.
