BRIDGEPORT, Conn. - Eric O'Dell had the winner and the St. John's IceCaps scored three power-play goals en route to a 4-3 comeback victory over the Bridgeport Sound Tigers on Sunday in American Hockey League action.
O'Dell, Jerome Samson, and Kael Mouillierat scored on the man advantage, and Andrew Gordon had the IceCaps' (9-8-3) only even-strength goal.
Johan Sundstrom had a goal and an assist for the Sound Tigers (4-9-4) and Anders Lee, and Calvin de Haan rounded out the Bridgeport offence.
The Sound Tigers got on the board first with a short-handed goal from Sundstrom at 7:01 of the first period, and extended the lead to 2-0 on Lee's sixth goal of the season at 2:24 of the second period.
St. John's scored three straight to take the lead before de Haan tied it at 3-3 at 11:57 of the third period.
O'Dell scored the winner, on the power play, with five minutes to go.
St. John's Jussi Olkinuora made 19 saves, while Bridgeport goalie Parker Milner stopped 25 of 29 shots.
