Flames acquire MacDermid from Stars
The Calgary Flames have acquired Lane MacDermid from the Dallas Stars.

The Calgary Flames on Friday acquired forward Lane MacDermid from the Dallas Stars in exchange for a sixth-round pick in the 2014 NHL Draft.

MacDermid, 24, has two assists and a plus-2 rating in six games this season. The Calgary Sun reported MacDermid will be assigned to Abbotsford, the Flames' American Hockey League affiliate.

Drafted by the Boston Bruins in the fourth round (No. 112) of the 2009 NHL Draft, MacDermid has two goals and two assists in 20 games with the Bruins and Stars.
