Patrice Cormier leads St. John's IceCaps past Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins 2-1

WILKES BARRE, Pa. - Patrice Cormier scored at the 15:56 mark of the second period as the St. John's IceCaps edged the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins 2-1 on Friday in American Hockey League play.

Travis Ehrhardt scored in the first period for the IceCaps (8-7-3), while Eddie Pasquale made 31 saves for the win.

Harry Zolnierczyk was the lone scorer for the Penguins (11-4-2). Goaltender Jeff Deslauriers stopped 14 shots.

Both teams were shut out on the power play. St. John's could not score on its two man advantages, while Wilkes-Barre/Scranton went 0 for 6.
